Dr. Jared R. Jackson brings his expertise to the Oklahoma Eye Institute to provide state-of-the-art oculoplastic surgery procedures to patients. As a fully trained eye doctor, an oculoplastic surgeon focuses on the reconstructive surgery of the periorbital and facial tissues including eyelids & eyebrows, cheeks, orbit and lacrimal system to achieve the best cosmetic outcome while paying special attention to the way procedures around the eye affect the function of the eye and the patient’s vision. Dr. Jackson completed his residency in ophthalmology and fellowship in oculoplastic surgery at the Oklahoma University College of Medicine, Dean McGee Eye Institute. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Brigham Young University, received his medical education from Carver College of Medicine, and completed his internship at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital. Dr. Jackson and his wife, Jennifer, are parents to four active boys ranging in age from nine months to eight years.

Dr. Michael Curtis was born and raised in Lawton OK where he received his Bachelor of Science at Cameron University before attending the University of Missouri St Louis College of Optometry. While residing in St Louis, he studied with several different specialty groups before graduating and practicing in northeast Arkansas in 2012. Dr Curtis has recently decided to move back home to be near his family and is currently licensed in Oklahoma as an optometric physician. He is our Lawton clinical director and provides pre and post operative cataract examinations, comprehensive medical eye exams and treatment of ocular disease. Dr Curtis currently lives in Lawton with his wife Ashley and young son and enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time.

Dr. Kamran Massoumi has served patients and referring doctors in Western Oklahoma since 2004. He specializes in sutureless cataract surgery, speciality lens implants, blepharoplasty, ptyerigum removal, and general ophthalmology. Dr. Massoumi grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and received his medical education at St. Louis University School of Medicine and his ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. He has presented research on various ophthalmic subjects throughout his career, confirming his dedication to ongoing changes in ocular technology. Dr. Massoumi and his wife, Vicki, reside in Elk City with their two daughters, Isabella and Daniela.

Dr. Robin Smith has served patients and referring doctors in Western Oklahoma since 1995. She specializes in the treatment of ocular disease, and she is a board-certified optometrist. Dr. Smith grew up in Durant, Oklahoma, and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry. She came to Elk City for her residency in ocular disease and has continued as clinical director/residency supervisor for OEI Elk City. She is an active member of both the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Smith lives in Elk City with her husband, Barry Trotter, and two sons, Tate and Evan.
